Because the main frame angle steel of the cabin required many holes, and workers previously used hand drills, which was time-consuming, and the hand drill could not be kept perpendicular to the workpiece during drilling, resulting in significant drill bit wear. Li Liang, drawing on his work experience, promptly developed a hand-press drilling jig, combining the hand drill with the jig to create a small, convenient portable drill press. This increased drilling efficiency by more than double, reducing drill bit consumption from 8 per cabin to 4.
At the same time, actively responding to the base's call to "optimize inventory and reduce costs," during a certain cabin production period, to ensure the comprehensive protection of the skin opened by the uncoiler, Li Liang carefully considered the situation and used existing inventory parts to make a 2.4-meter jig. This not only saved on material procurement costs but also significantly improved production quality and revitalized inventory materials.
