The 115th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) was held in Guangzhou from April 15 to May 5. At this Canton Fair, Jihua Group held a unified exhibition in three exhibition areas: clothing, footwear, and textile raw materials. Jihua Guomao and its branches in Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Wuhan, Xi'an, and Nanjing participated in the exhibition. Sun Chenghai, head of the Central Enterprise Trading Group and director of the Department of Foreign Trade Development of the Ministry of Commerce, listened to the reports from the exhibitors on the opening day and encouraged Jihua Group to continue leading the military supplies industry, explore the international market, and achieve a leapfrog development in the foreign trade of central enterprises, transitioning from large-scale to strong.
Jihua Group showcased its strong strength and established a positive image by displaying its full range of military supplies, attracting numerous international buyers. Through the focused display of exhibits by region and series, it further met the one-stop procurement needs of overseas and domestic buyers. Highlights included the three-proof camouflage uniforms at the clothing booth, portable toiletry kits, the new island reef shoes and high-cold combat boots at the footwear booth, and the multifunctional fabrics and magic camouflage cloth at the textile raw materials booth. During the exhibition, 610 foreign businessmen were received, representing nearly 30 countries and regions, and the results of the intended orders exceeded expectations. After the exhibition, representatives will actively contact buyers and diligently work on sample production and customer factory inspections. By consistently participating in the Canton Fair and leveraging China's leading platform for foreign trade, Jihua Group is actively cultivating new foreign trade competitive advantages centered on technology, brand, quality, and service.
It is reported that 188,100 overseas buyers attended this Canton Fair, from 214 countries and regions. The total export transaction intention reached 191.184 billion yuan (equivalent to 31.051 billion US dollars), a decrease of 2.01% compared to the previous session (excluding exchange rate fluctuations, the same below), and a year-on-year decrease of 12.64%. This Canton Fair was held against the backdrop of a difficult global economic recovery and increasing downward pressure on China's foreign trade. The State Council attaches great importance to foreign trade work. On April 30, Premier Li Keqiang presided over an executive meeting of the State Council to deploy relevant work to support stable growth and optimize the structure of foreign trade. The Ministry of Commerce conducted key research on participating enterprises during the exhibition and is working with relevant departments to formulate policies and measures to support stable growth in foreign trade and accelerate the cultivation of new foreign trade competitive advantages.
