From July 9th to 12th, the second 2018 Party Branch Secretary Training Class of Xinxing Ji Hua Group was held in Beijing. Leaders including He Keren, Deputy Secretary of the Group's Party Committee, and Hao Zhongjian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Renmin University of China's School of Continuing Education, attended the opening ceremony. Over 180 party branch secretaries from various enterprises under the Group participated in the training.
At the opening ceremony on the evening of the 9th, He Keren pointed out that conducting training for grassroots party branch secretaries is an important measure for the Group to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC. It is a practical necessity to strengthen the building of grassroots party organizations, an important tool to advance the "Party Building Quality Improvement Year," and an important guarantee for improving the theoretical and policy level and the ability of grassroots party branch secretaries to perform their duties, consolidating the foundation of Party building, and ensuring that the "Entrepreneurial Party Building Project" takes root.
This training used a combination of thematic lectures, scenario simulations, on-site teaching, and mutual exchange. By organizing visits to the Li Dazhao Martyr's Cemetery and the Revolutionary Deeds Exhibition Hall, and by reviewing the oath of joining the Party, participants understood Li Dazhao's ideal pursuit of "shouldering righteousness and writing beautifully" and his unwavering struggle and fearless sacrifice for the cause of Chinese communism. Through special instruction on Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, the political standing and political theoretical level of the party branch secretaries were improved. Through scenario simulations of "branch elections, developing party members, party member organizational life meetings, branch committee democratic life meetings, and democratic assessment of party members," party congresses and branch committee meetings were reproduced in the classroom, transforming the trainees from passive listeners into active participants and experiencers. Problems exposed in the scenario simulations were commented on and explained, helping participants master standard procedures, clarify ambiguous understandings, and improve training effectiveness. By inviting experts to lecture on innovation in grassroots party building in state-owned enterprises under the new situation, how to be a good grassroots party branch secretary, and party branch work regulations, participants clarified the problems, causes, and basic solutions in party branch construction. In addition, through six exemplary party branch secretaries discussing, from different perspectives, innovative ideas, methods, achievements, and confusion in grassroots party building work, participants learned from each other, making use of each other's strengths to offset weaknesses. They learned good ideas and practices from sister units, enriching their own "treasure chests" and "toolboxes".
Through the training, the vast majority of trainees further strengthened their ideals and beliefs, broadened their horizons, raised their ideological awareness, and improved their theoretical and professional skills. They further understood the situation, clarified their tasks, and established goals, achieving real results. Many expressed their intention to bring these experiences and insights back to their enterprises, turning them into specific measures to improve branch work and consolidate and expand the training achievements.
