Jihua Group continued to adopt a unified group exhibition model in the three exhibition areas of clothing, shoes and boots, and textile raw materials. Exhibitors reported the exhibition situation to Jia Guoyong, head of the central enterprise delegation and deputy director of the Department of Foreign Trade Development of the Ministry of Commerce. Due to the severe international economic situation, sluggish overseas market demand, rising raw material prices and labor costs, and other factors, the pressure on foreign trade exports from enterprises has increased. Jia Guoyong encouraged central enterprises to increase technological and product innovation, cultivate independent brands, and achieve long-term development. Jia Guoyong paid great attention to the work measures of central enterprises in stabilizing foreign trade. He praised Jihua's full industrial chain layout and the group's unified exhibition model, encouraged Jihua to make greater contributions to China's foreign trade, and stated that the Department of Foreign Trade Development is willing to strengthen cooperation and services in promoting central enterprises to go international.
After the integration of Jihua Group's military trade, Jihua Guoma established an elite foreign trade team, combining the advantages of military products within the group and attracting many international merchants for negotiations. During the exhibition, a total of 630 foreign businessmen were received, involving customers from 30 countries and regions, and the results of intended orders were better than the previous session.
At this Canton Fair, 189,600 international purchasers attended, a decrease of 6.5% compared to the previous session, with export deals totaling US\$31.69 billion, a decrease of 10.9% compared to the previous session. The number of purchasers attending and the intention of deals both decreased to varying degrees. According to China's customs statistics for the first three quarters, the total export value was US\$1614.86 billion, an increase of 8%, including US\$130.28 billion for clothing and apparel accessories, an increase of 12.3%, and US\$37.09 billion for shoes, an increase of 7.1%. However, the export growth rate in September was -0.3%, and in October it turned positive, meaning that the external situation facing China's foreign trade development remains severe and complex, and the fluctuating recovery of the world economy needs to be taken seriously by enterprises.
