On August 7th, Sha Ming, the Group's General Manager, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and Deputy Head of the Activity Leading Group, attended the joint seminar of the Party branches of the Group Office and the Legal Affairs Department as an ordinary Party member. He delivered a Party lesson to all Party members and solicited opinions and suggestions from the Party members and the masses in the organs regarding the Group's leadership team and the "Four Winds" issues of the Group's leaders. Gao Yaw, the Group's General Legal Counsel and member of the Party Committee, presided over the meeting.
Sha Ming gave an in-depth explanation of the historical background, significance, and scientific methods of carrying out the Party's mass line education and practice activities, delivering a vivid Party lesson to all Party members.
He emphasized that Party members in the organs carrying out the mass line education and practice activities must first consider several questions: Why is the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China carrying out this activity? What methods will be used to implement this activity? What results should be achieved in the end? Only by deeply understanding the essence of the mass line education and practice activities and mastering the correct working methods can the effects of this activity be put into practice, effectively improving the work style of the organs, and playing a promoting role in the development of the Group. He first elaborated on the necessity of carrying out the mass line education and practice activities in combination with the historical background of the past 35 years of reform and opening up, and especially the past 13 years of the Group's restructuring, and the new problems that have emerged. That is, carrying out this activity is a necessary requirement for achieving the goals set by the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and implementing the 1257831 strategy; it is a necessary requirement for maintaining the Party's advanced nature and purity, consolidating the Party's governing foundation, and transforming the Party's political advantages into the core competitiveness of the enterprise; it is a necessary requirement for solving prominent problems that the masses strongly reflect on and building a harmonious enterprise.
Sha Ming pointed out that Party members in the organs carrying out the mass line education and practice activities should grasp the essence of Mao Zedong Thought of going to the masses and coming from the masses. Taking this education and practice activity as an opportunity, through in-depth investigation and understanding, the good experiences and suggestions from the grassroots level should be collectively considered and refined to a higher level, and then promoted comprehensively at the Group level, so that the education and practice activities can truly reflect and solve existing work and style problems, and maximize the effectiveness of the activities.
Sha Ming believes that in rectifying the "Four Winds" problems this time, the logical relationship between the three "fours" should be grasped. First, it is necessary to recognize the four risks: the risk of mental slackness, the risk of insufficient ability, the risk of detachment from the masses, and the risk of negative corruption. Second, the "Four Winds" problems of formalism, bureaucracy, hedonism, and extravagance that correspond to these risks. Finally, according to the four solutions proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping of "looking in the mirror, rectifying one's attire, taking a bath, and treating illnesses," problems should be discovered, analyzed, and solved, so that the Party's mass line education and practice activities can be put into practice.
The Party members of the Group Office and the Legal Affairs Department, combining their actual positions, referred to the Central Eight Articles, the 24 Articles of the CPC Central Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Group's Nine Articles, and the 22 specific manifestations of "Party and government officials' style problems" forwarded by the Central Leading Group for the activities, and conducted a one-by-one comparison. They realistically put forward opinions and suggestions on the specific manifestations of the "Four Winds" problems of the Group's leadership team and their own departments. Sha Ming carefully listened to everyone's opinions and interacted with everyone, encouraging all Party members to actively practice the mass line education and practice activities, improve their self-cultivation and work level, and make greater contributions to the development of the Group.
