2014The year was a year of pride for us at XinXing Jihua. Under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, and the correct guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, our cadres and employees rose to the challenges, worked diligently and practically, and achieved outstanding results despite the persistently downward trend in the domestic economy. We are expected to achieve a year-on-year increase of 6% in operating revenue and an 8% year-on-year increase in net profit. The net profits of our two major listed companies both remained among the top three in the industry; the Group ranked 365th on the Fortune Global 500 list, up 41 places from the previous year; the Group became one of the pilot units for the four major reforms of central enterprises and will carry out pilot work under the leadership of SASAC on the board of directors exercising the power of selecting senior management personnel, performance appraisal, and remuneration management; the Group strictly implemented the eight-point regulations of the Central Committee, earnestly carried out Party and mass line education and practice activities, and the Party and government styles of enterprises at all levels have been further transformed; Zhuangguan Co., Ltd. actively participated in the construction of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, effectively expanding its share in the project; Jihua Co., Ltd. actively promoted internationalization, accelerated the construction of the JH1912 and JHpark brands, rapidly launched the construction of Jihua destination centers in Chongqing, Changchun and other places, and joined hands with Michelin Group, the world's "tire expert", to create a new generation of functional shoe soles; the XinXing Heavy Industry dual-fuel heavy-duty truck project has also been rapidly launched, the natural gas non-pipeline storage and transportation and service whole industry chain operation has achieved significant results, the remote foam transfer system has reached the international advanced level, and the intelligent lightweight high-mobility emergency rescue equipment series has yielded gratifying results; XinXing Development Dalian and Qingdao projects have been successfully promoted, and the internal control system has been continuously improved, creating favorable conditions for the long-term development of the enterprise. Over the past year, the Group's media attention has further increased, and its brand awareness, reputation, and influence have continued to improve. 70,000 XinXing Jihua people have demonstrated with their actions that "the economy may be declining, but our spirit cannot; the industry may face difficulties, but our budget cannot be discounted."The year is a significant year for implementing the spirit of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the second, third, and fourth plenary sessions of the 18th Central Committee, fully implementing the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference and the Central Conference of Heads of Central Enterprises, a crucial year for the Group to achieve the goals of the 12th Five-Year Plan, and the first year for the Group to respond to the new normal of the Chinese economy. In May 2014, General Secretary Xi Jinping, during an inspection tour in Henan Province, first described the Chinese economy in the new cycle as a "new normal," meaning that the Chinese economy has shifted from high-speed growth to medium-high speed growth, and from factor-driven, investment-driven growth to innovation-driven growth, with the economic structure undergoing continuous optimization and upgrading. We must thoroughly implement the central government's decisions and deployments, adhere to taking the improvement of development quality and efficiency as the central task, adapt to the new normal, seize new opportunities, emancipate our minds, take on responsibilities bravely, govern enterprises according to law, and promote the sustainable development of the Group. We will use the "225" management system as a lever to accelerate technological innovation, product innovation, brand innovation, industrial organization innovation, and business model innovation, accelerate the implementation of innovation-driven development, effectively promote transformation and development, ensure that the 2015 budget targets are met, and strive to create an "upgraded version" of the Group's development under the new normal. We will solidly advance the construction of the "225" management innovation system, strengthen budget execution control, and unswervingly implement the various decisions of the Group's Board of Directors. We will accelerate the promotion of "strengthening the secondary and advancing into the tertiary," and effectively promote the transformation of traditional manufacturing to manufacturing services and modern services. We will accelerate the implementation of international operations, promoting the development of the four major sectors across the country and overseas, and making full use of both resources and two markets. We will attach greater importance to improving risk control capabilities, and greater importance to promoting energy conservation and emission reduction and safe production, to promote the construction of a harmonious enterprise.
